Cenfire Reaches Midpoint of CF2140 Qualification, Opens Production Orders for Semiconductor Test Applications

SANTA BARBARA, California, October 23, 2026 Cenfire today announced that its CF2140 MEMS switch platform has reached the midpoint of its qualification program and that customers can now place production orders. The milestone advances the 4-channel SPST platform toward commercial deployment in semiconductor test and measurement systems.

Since announcing sampling availability earlier this year, Cenfire has continued qualification activities for its silicon-based MEMS switch architecture. The CF2140 combines true galvanic isolation, low off-state leakage, and fast switching with a direct 3.3V digital interface, helping equipment designers simplify control circuitry and build denser switching systems.

“Reaching the halfway point in qualification is an important milestone for Cenfire and our customers,” said Seena Partokia, Chief Executive Officer of Cenfire. “We are progressing toward production readiness while continuing to work closely with customers on system-level evaluations and integration.

Opening production orders on November 30 gives engineering and procurement teams a clear path to plan their next-generation test platforms around the CF2140.”

The CF2140 is designed for semiconductor automated test equipment, load boards, device interface boards, probe cards, instrumentation systems, and validation platforms where switching speed, signal integrity, isolation, density, and reliability are critical requirements.

Cenfire’s MEMS switching platform supports demanding semiconductor test applications through:

• Switching times below 10 microseconds
• True galvanic isolation with ultra-low leakage
• Direct 3.3V digital control for simpler integration
• Compact four-channel switching architecture
• DC to 6 GHz signal compatibility

Beginning November 30, 2026, Cenfire is accepting production orders for the CF2140 while its qualification program continues. Delivery schedules will be coordinated with customers based on manufacturing capacity and applicable qualification requirements. Engineering evaluations and technical collaboration remain available.

Cenfire will continue its remaining qualification activities planned, with a focus on device reliability, performance consistency, and manufacturing readiness for customers preparing commercial systems.

About Cenfire

Cenfire designs silicon-based MEMS switching technology for semiconductor test, high-performance electronics, and advanced switching applications. The company has developed the first silicon membrane platform purpose-built for demanding commercial MEMS switching applications. Cenfire’s technology combines CMOS-compatible manufacturing, true galvanic isolation, zero-leakage off-state behavior, and conduction through a fully metallic signal path.

By replacing legacy metal spring and cantilever architectures with a silicon-based membrane platform, Cenfire enables scalable, high-reliability switching without the fatigue limitations that have historically constrained MEMS relay technologies.
